What now???

I have lost track of the number of times this paid for subscription has let me down. What is the problem now? When will the service be functional again? If not today, then who can I speak with about having my subscription (which I have been DOUBLE-billed for) refunded?

Hello Logan,

Thank you for your question about the subscription. Yes, we were receiving reports of site slowness, so we decided to change the provider for our database. You will see significant speedup, plus a remedy to related issues.

Also, I reviewed all of your posts, please allow me to offer a friendly reminder:

Ticket 1 - Snipe placed but we turned on verbose logging to see details.
Ticket 2- Your sellers had Trust and Safety blocks configured. (We can't bypass around these.) Please see: https://bidslammer.com/help/trust-and-safety-errors
Ticket 3 - Snipes were added less than 2 minutes before closing. (We advertise a 2-minute minimum.)
Ticket 4 - Same as above - snipes was added at 12:08:01 PDT, but the item ended at 12:09:32 PDT (less than 2 minutes).
Ticket 5 - This ticket.
Ticket 6 - A new ticket you opened for which we posted a message on the dashboard.

Your extra payment has been refunded.

I hope I addressed your concerns to your satisfaction. Please let me know if I can help further.

Correction: Today, we learned that the slowness was from a runaway GoogleBot indexer. So I can say with confidence that it was not a system malfunction, in fact, the resilience of the site allowed it to hold up while it was getting hammered.

Detail: Apparently someone submitted hundreds of thousands of web pages to Google, which we think is a serious flaw in their design---they should have been able to detect this and stop it. We've contacted Google for resolution.

Fortunately, the sniper is totally isolated from the user interface, so it held up the entire time. You can add snipes with confidence. More info is on the dashboard.

Thanks again for your helpful feedback.
