What does mean "Competes with another item in Bid Group." ?

Hello, I am trying to snipe 1 out 4 items sold from the same ebay seller.
So it would make sense putting them in a group, so only one gets bought.
The items have 4 different auctions, and 4 different IDs, but when inserting a specific auction, and ONLY that one, I receive that message, "Competes with another item in Bid Group."
Why does it happen? I think the message does not make sense, of course every item competes with each other inside a bid group... or am I getting the concept wrong?

Hello Valerio,
Thank you for your question about Bid Groups. The error message "Competes with another item in Bid Group" means that one of the items in that group ends within three (3) minutes of another snipe, so it cannot be added to the group. We do this as a safeguard to ensure that we can shut off all of the other bids in the group. We could probably go lower than three minutes, but we've never had any problems with that setting.
Also, you are right that the error message is confusing. We're going to change it to explain this better. Thank you for pointing this out to us! It's funny how, after over 15 years of this, we still receive improvement suggestions. We try to implement every idea we hear.
There's a note about this at the bottom of the Bid Groups help page that needs to be improved as well:

Please let us know if you have any other questions. We are happy to help.

Thanks for the answer, it's clear now.
Nobody ever reads disclaimers, me included, sorry!
