Yep - I did that also. You should see an email from PayPal for that as well entitled "Profile Canceled."
Your service should remain unaffected, but let us know if you see any issues.

As a side note --- PayPal shouldn't allow multiple subscriptions, but they do. That's why the Payment page doesn't show any options. Somehow the page re-appeared for you, leading to a double sub.
