Hi this is the second time this has happened. I entered a snipe for $4.50 on an auction which then sold to another bidder for $3. I have screenshots of the bidslammer interface showing that I entered my bid but was still somehow outbid, despite mine being higher. From what I can see, it looks like my snipe bid never went in on the eBay side.
None of the troubleshooting “why was I outbid” conditions should apply to my situation. Why does this keep happening?

Thank you for your question about this snipe. Because we do not keep a comprehensive log for free snipes, we cannot tell you for certain the details behind this snipe. Our job is to place the snipe, not to nail down all of the various account issues, although we are able to determine the reason about 90% of the time. Unfortunately we just can't keep logs for all of the free snipes.
Given your message, however, if this is a repeating occurrence as you indicated, it is almost surely that you need to update your credit card with eBay, or verify your identity with their call-in system. That is the most common reason.
