Also, when I placed my bid amount for the items in watching... is it set at 10 seconds? Is there any way for me to change the default to be 1 or 2 seconds? thank you!

I notice you are bidding on items on the US site. Shouldn't your profile at eBay be configured for US, then? If you changed it at eBay, you could re-authorize (in Preferences) and then the links would work. It's just a suggestion.
You can change your default lead time in Preferences, if a subscription is active.
