Pref wont save ebay password

I don't see a way to reply directly to that thread. I am not using any special characters. Please re-read my original message carefully. When updating to a new password it reverts back after saying ok. I am into Web Developing myself so as an advanced user something is very wrong with this. Unable to use your service unless corrected much to my personal disappointment. Hoping we are able to get this resolved. Thanks.

Hello Joseph,

You are correct, the reply box was missing. ;-D Yes, I did read your message. My second response suggested that you might be looking at the number of asterisks in your response, like this:

Password: ****

The browser only puts 4 asterisks so that someone can't guess it.

Also, can you tell me: When you SUBMIT, are you receiving the green OK dialog, or the red ERROR dialog?

Kind regards

Ah there is the reply box. As an advanced user one can tell by the asterisk if the password is the right number of characters. After updating it reverts back to the previous. When updating to new password it gives the green ok. If I recheck to make sure it synchronizes it gets a RED error. Obviously something is very wrong.

Hello Joseph,

Did you test your password at eBay first? I checked our log and you are trying 2 different passwords but neither of them are correct.

(On Chrome it always shows four (4) asterisks, but Firefox shows the correct number of characters, I don't know why they do that.)

Also - there is a timeout of one minute, too many attempts in one minute and eBay will return a Captcha dialog which confuses the pass/fail test.

Obviously I have tested it with ebay first. I am able to login. I did note the browser difference although for me that happens only on your site. Using the same password and even trying different browsers it says that - Can not confirm password. It would be nice to get this resolved and I am sure you want to as well. I can only conclude there is some internal database or coding issues going on within the site.

Hello Joseph,

I'm certain that the password you are trying to repeatedly enter at our site, is definitely incorrect.

Again I am a web developer I've been into IT for over a decade. I should know if the password on my end I am entering in your site is incorrect or not. This is making me feel like someone doesn't want to do a little indepth testing on their end if they have not yet. Again thats how I feel about the responses I am receiving. I'd love to use your service but if I were asked at this point I couldn't honestly recommend it. As suggested I do like your site but this interaction isn't resolving anything for both of us. Remember an unsatisfactory solution could result in potential unpaid services with any interaction. Will await to see what your next response is before moving on.

Hello Joseph,
I assure you that we spent a lot of time on this. We put a tracer on your account and even tried the login ourselves. I'm sorry but the password is being rejected by eBay. I don't know what else to try (or say).

Thanks for the extended clarity vs the original response. Perhaps I will try again on my end again and get back with you in the near future. Thanks for the quick responses and the support so far.

Hello Joseph,

Happy to help, let us know if you have any issues. All snipe services handle this question often. We recently improved the login detection significantly.
