Thank you for your question about an invoice. The invoice is provided by PayPal. So if you go to PayPal and search for transaction ID "0J68665319324222J," it should give you the invoice page.

As a matter of fact, this lacks any hint of "invoice", just talks about the payment stream, which would rather be difficult to accept by the tax authorities that I need to get this document presented.
If you rather have some "real" invoice on a letterhead of yours, it certainly would be more suitable to address the request for our states finance department. I know, it sucks, but believe me I am just acting on behalf of some requirements that I have not invented or put. So thanks for your understanding. Best, Joe

Every payment you make at PayPal gives you a feature page for the payment. That page is what customers use for an invoice. It is the only thing we have to offer since PayPal handles the payments.

Thanks, I saw, but unfortunately, it doesn't help.

The only way I know to do this is to generate a formal invoice and send to the customer prior to the payment.
In any case, I doubt the IRS or anyone else would ever question the legitimacy of a printout of your payment page.
