My bid did not go through...

I placed a bid, it did not go through... I checked with ebay. It never got the bid. The item was not won by anyone. The helpful thing is that BidSlammer was able to let me know it was relisted with another item number (with a lower starting bid). But it is NOT HELPFUL if it does not place the bid! However, when I went to place a bid for the new listing, BS said the auction had ended.... ??? I came back again today to try to riddle it out again. This time I put the Slamit! in the toolbar and was able to place a bid - but question even USING Bidslammer, because I had to check with ebay and they advised against it and to use automatic bidding instead, in which case, if I HAD DONE THIS INSTEAD, I would have won the auction. The only good thing is that it has been relisted with a lower starting bid - but I could wind up bidding against myself if I use the SlamIt! bid AND ebay's Automatic bid.
The former bid does not show up in my Archives either, but showed up as fully active until the auction was over. I checked the Authorization, and it is current. Something was really glitchy.

PS - I don't know where to find the previous item number - it is currently 304610963658

Hello Victoria,
Thank your question about this snipe. BidSlammer imported item 304606220965 for you, but you never set a bid. We track every keystroke rigorously, so I can assure you no bid was set. That is also why you can’t see it in your Completed list — the software doesn’t display Watched items once they end. Your snipe for $75 will probably win, but the lead time is 10 seconds. If you really want the item, you might consider upgrading; there is a sale right now.
If I were eBay customer service and someone told me a third party failed them, then I would suggest not using them as well. But that is not what happened here. We have a contract with them, so someone over there trusts us.
I hope this answers your questions. Good luck on the snipe.
