My Account Renewal

13789 8 0

Hello,

I wanted to bid on 2 items today and it said that I can only do 1 at a time with a free account. I didn't know I was on a free account, I have been a member for years. I am not aware of my account expiring. Is there nothing that shows when I need to renew or a reminder sent out? I don't know when I last paid for 1 year, but I want to be have an account. Thanks

Hello Blue,

Thank you for your question about your subscription. PayPal sends the notifications on our behalf. I tried to find your last payment using your last name and email, but couldn't find it.

If you can give me the transaction ID at PayPal, I can adjust. I gave you a free week so you can use it right away.

Please reply with the transaction ID and we can go from there.

For my understanding, you are saying that you don't records of when / if my subscription ended? I know that at some point last year, I paid for a 1 year subscription, but I don't have a clue as to when that was date wise. What would a 1 year subscription have cost last year? Thanks

I see, it was a credit card payment. I was looking on PayPal. The last payment was March 28 of last year.

Credit card payments are not recurring -- that is why it didn't automatically upgrade.

You are welcome to keep the free week. After a week, click "Upgrade" in the top menu bar, and you will see the pricing plans.

Ok, great, thank you

Looks like I won't have time to release and test the credit card update in time, so please do try to use PayPal when the time comes, and let me know how it goes. Thank you for your time and patience.

Okay, I will update everything today. Quick question -- how did I not win the item this morning? It was the 1977 Star Wars lot. My max bid was $ 940 AUD and it sold for $ 660 AUD. You had mentioned me having a free week. It doesn't seem like anything happened.

Yes, we did honor the request for a free week, but it expired today.

I investigated what we encountered when we placed your snipe. They returned an error code. Here is the packet of information eBay returned below. The snipe placement times are noted in the packet.

(
[errorCode] => 10007
[bothMessages] => System error. Unable to process your request. Please try again later.
[shortMessage] => System error.

We rarely see this error, it only has happened 27 times in the last year. It wasn't within our control.
