Hi:
Yesterday I lost 2 bids from same seller within a few minutes of each other.
365839983131 & item 365839983128. I watched very closely till the end to make sure to raise bid if necessary. However there was no indication of the higher bids showing in the bid section. I have bought from this seller before so To my knowledge I wasn't doing anything differently than before.
Please help.
Thank you.

Hello Joe,

Thank you for your question about these items. It looks like your bids were below the final winning amounts.

To your point about the price not updating in real time: on the free plan, items are refreshed every 30 seconds. Continuous tracking requires significant system resources, so faster refresh rates are part of the paid plan.

On Black Friday we will offer the annual plan at $24.99. Would you like me to send you a reminder when that promotion becomes available?

Thanks for fast reply.
Obviously my bids were below the winning amount.
I've used BidSlammer before & refreshed near the end of auction every 10 seconds.

Anyway, yes, please send annual plan reminder.

Thank you.

Sincerely

Joe

Is it possible you can invoice me today for $24.99 as November 28, 2025 is far away.
Pointless not to as I'll continue losing bids on free system.
I don't remember exact dates I used BidSlammer before, however if you look it up, it was a few years ago for a few years.

Thank you.

Sincerely

Joe

Hello, I misunderstood your original post. Sniping services are not allowed to continually "poll" the item to keep it updated, the way eBay itself does. That would violate their terms for excessive use.

There is also a practical reason. Sniping is designed so you don’t have to monitor the auction, which is why—so far as I know—no sniping service includes a "constant refresh" feature.

Your best approach is to simply place the maximum bid you are comfortable with and let eBay’s automated proxy system manage the outcome. The highest bid at close will always win.

I hope I answered your question to your satisfaction. Please let me know if I can help further. Always happy to help.

Problem being I don't know what others ''highest bids'' are because BidSlammer doesn't show, not for all, but for some items.
Simply put, it makes no sense to use BidSlammer. I may as well just use eBay.

Whether sniping makes sense depends on your use case. If your goal is to keep the price lower by concealing your interest, sniping is effective and can make a noticeable difference in the closing price.

However, if you plan to monitor the auction as it ends, and adjust your bid based on activity, that approach cancels out the main advantage of sniping.
