According to the bidding list in ebay, my bid was the highest first, then it shows someone with a later bid of the same apparently getting the sale.
Is this a mistake on ebay's part, because they apparently say the other won the bid?

Thanks for your question about highest bid. From your description, it seems that what happened was that another bidder had a "proxy bid" on that item. The other bidder bid before you did, but at a higher value. Then, once we placed your snipe for you, eBay bumped the displayed price up to the value of your bid.
