I Didn’t Win and My Bid Was Higher

I read through many of your help pages regarding a failed win/snipe. None of the suggested problems, e.g., not bidding enough, not having a PayPal account, unpaid item strikes, no P.O. Box, eBay authorization validity, credit card, password, etc., etc., apply to me or this snipe. I placed the snipe a few days before the auction ended. I had logged into my eBay account within two days (before) the auction end date without problem or any special notifications. This is a seller I have bought from before, and recently. My snipe was $55 higher than the winning bid of $32.00.
The only unusual thing I can detect is that on the Completed Snipes page, all the listings (except the subject snipe) appear with either green or pink shading depending on whether I won or lost on those individual items. The subject snipe, that I didn’t win and should have, appears with a blue background.
Can you tell me what happened with this snipe? I would like to learn from this to insure that when I have the high bid, I actually win the item.
Thank you,
Randy Worwag
P.S. The above situation with the item was an unfortunate loss and I am disappointed about that. But so you know, I VERY MUCH appreciate your service and have had many successes. And, want to have many more! Thank you again.

Hello Randy,
Thank you for your question about the snipes. Our service provider for databases reported issues, and a small time frame of snipes was affected. We're not very happy with them right now and are going to switch to Amazon after the new year. After 14 years with them, it's time to say goodbye.
So in summary, I doubt this will happen again.
Please let us know if this did not resolve your issue to your satisfaction. We are happy to help.
