How did this happen?

Hi;
Used your service on some fairly difficult to obtain, signed editions by our local historian. Most worked perfectly.
This item was a lost bid - and it appears as if your service didn't even place a bid. Please note that my high limit was $525.
The listing of 'completed snipes' shows a 'winning bid' for me of $137.50; but that's when your system decided to go have a drink.
What happened? If I'm to trust this system in the future, what do I need to do to prevent another similar failure?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello Gregory,
Thank you for your question about these snipes. By definition, any items you place in a Bid Group will be turned off as soon as you win an item in that group. You can tell them apart: The "win in group" icon is slightly different than the "win" icon. (The smiley face is winking.)
Here is our help page on that subject: https://bidslammer.com/help/bid-groups
Please let us know if you have any other questions. We welcome any other questions that you may have.

Please let me make certain I understand.. I should NEVER put items into a group unless I want bidding to stop after any ONE item is successfully purchased - Correct?

Sorry, I'm totally unschooled.. it is right there in black and white. My apologies, that was complete my error. Please take care - good job on this system.

Yes, you are correct. I was just thinking about a way to reduce the frequency of this question, then it occurred to me I could just add a help link there. It's kind of funny I didn't think of that before.
Thanks for the idea. :-)
