I have used Auction Defender for years, which has recently become inoperable. The explanation they give is as follows:
"We are not very optimistic.. We tried asking eBay for access to their API for bidding and they said they no longer offer it. The browser simulation we do (sending http requests) no longer works, it requires additional javascript/ajax/cookies/etc. and they just added another layer of protection.
We have been trying for 3-4 days to make it work without much success. If you do look for another program and find one able to bid (PC software, not web-based service), we would really like to know.
We are still trying to work on it, just that we haven’t had much luck so far."
Will Bidnapper work despite the eBay changes?
