This is a reply to your last message re: the missed snipes on my last six attempts. In that message you sent me a link to an Ebay test-auction site. I wrote it down, left Bidslammer, did something else, then tried it. It did not work. So I went back to Bidslammer, expecting to find your last message still there, but it was gone. I can't find it anywhere. I called Ebay, but the rep claimed Ebay does not have a test-auction/test-bid feature at all. But I can tell you, during the time I have been having the problem with the Bidslammer snipes I did successfully bid, without any problem, on Ebay direct. No problem at all.

A question: if I entered an Ebay password into Bidslammer and got a green (successful) response, does that mean Bidslammer has verified that Ebay recognizes the password?

I'm sure you realize I cannot place another snipe on Bidslammer until I know this problem is resolved. I just cannot risk losing any more auctions. I have been using Bidslammer a long time but something has suddenly happened. I haven't made any changes, except: A while back I changed my Ebay password, at your suggestion, to eliminate a possible three-letter English word it contained. I entered the new change into Bidslammer and got a green "success" response. I don't recall if that is when the problem started. After a few missed snipes, I entered the same new Ebay password into Bidslammer again (because Bidslammer was telling me it might be a password problem) and got a green response. The problem continued and I wrote you.

There is nothing else I can do. I would like to continue with Bidslammer, but where do we go from here? It would be helpful if you could copy your reply to my outside email at [edited].

Thanks for replying. I did a review and your account is kosher now. All will work perfectly.

On the last response I saw there were 2 extra spaces on your eBay userid. So I went in and personally removed the spaces on the end. That's why it suddenly worked again.

We don't consider that your fault, as our software should have caught that. We believe that you were given an incorrect "green OK" message at that time.

As a result of you writing in, we added extra error checking so that if the password is bad, it catches it 24 hours before the snipe.

Erik, we'd really like to ensure that we can keep you as a customer. Please let us know how the next snipe goes.
