Failed Snipes

Ten of my snipes failed to execute tonight. The error message is as unhelpful as the snipes and only says "No information is available on the error condition."
I would like an explanation for the following item numbers because they represent over $1,000 of lost profit potential for me:
285856499396, 126482612528, 285856498659, 235561541990, 285856230011, 285856228646, 285856221199, 256509336636, 156208136207, 305562865047

Hello Logan,
Thank you for your question about your snipes. I checked the logs to see what we encountered when we placed the bids. Each server returned the same result. We do pad each snipe with the delay we encounter, which is usually less than 2 seconds, but in this case it was just milliseconds shy. This is extremely rare, but it happens.
I noticed you are using 2-second delays, but the items you are buying are higher-priced and have a lot of competition. Most of the items you bid on are popular and you encounter a lot of tie situations.
For that reason, I'd suggest to bid no earlier than 3 to 5 seconds. The one-second delay is intended for very low price items with low competition.
If you use 3 to 5 seconds across the board, you will win more often because your bid comes in earlier, but still late enough so someone can't react to your snipe.
I hope this has been explained to your satisfaction. If not, please tell me how we can improve.

Thank you for explaining. Since my last payment Bidslammer has had a number of issues. This is not my first support ticket; there were several days when my snipes did not go through. I would request a refund of my last payment or a new discounted rate for future payments. I have lost out on considerable profits because of the snipes that did not execute.
There should not be an offering of a two second snipe if it would fail due to mere milliseconds. I will change my snipes to three second intervals, but I prefer to bid as late as possible.
Thanks again,
Logan

In addition to the failed snipes, I am now receiving this error:

Will the Bidslammer's problems be over soon? If not, I will need to discontinue my subscription altogether.

Yes, but as soon as we remove 1-second, we get complaints. It is reliable, but the only thing on the site we advertise that we cannot guarantee 100%. So we just try to advertise as much as possible.
The 120 seconds is a typo. It should say 1200 seconds, but it is temporary, usually a few days. It changes depending on server load, in this case Memorial Day weekend.
Ironically, the latter issue, too, is a choice (a threshold value) we have to make as to what's best for the customers as a whole vs. what's best for an individual.
Anyway, it will revert back to 120 within a few days for certain.
