I receive an email to update my ebay credentials. When I try to enter my password, it says to turn off my cap lock, but it isn't on????

Hello Randall,

If you are having trouble verifying your eBay password, here are the steps to resolve that particular issue.

1. Log into eBay directly to make sure you don't have a blocking dialog.

2. If that is ok, then the problem is that you've had too many unsuccessful login attempts from trying the wrong password. eBay is temporarily giving us a captcha (security) dialog, so the solution is to simply wait 12 hours for the problem goes away. Also make sure you have deleted all snipes for the next 18-24 hours.

So if you still have a problem tomorrow, please let us know and we can take the next step.

I have no problem logging into Ebay. Since it has been over 12 hours since I last tried to update my Ebay credentials on Bidslammer, I tried again with no luck

Hello Randall,

Are you quite certain you have verified the password at eBay first? From what you are describing, it sounds as if the wrong password is being entered. Let me know, please, while I investigate on our end. Thanks!

I used another computer and tried to put it a bid on Ebay. I was asked for my username and password. I used the same ones that I tried for Ebay with Bidslammer and got in with no problem

I used another computer and tried to put it a bid on Ebay. I was asked for my username and password. I used the same ones that I tried for Ebay with Bidslammer and got in with no problem. I told my son about my problem and he said the same thing happened to him. After trying to resolve the problem thgrough Bidslammer he gave up and changed his password with ebay. So the problem seems to be at your end

Hello Randall,

Make sure to wait the 12-hour timeout period (please see my first response). I think that is the problem. You have to cancel your snipes and ensure no login activity from our site in the next 12 hour period.

If that doesn't fix it please let us know.

I waited 12 hours and tried again -same results as before. So I went to Ebay and changed my password. Put the new password into Bidslammer and that worked

Bidslammer accepted my new Ebay password, but a bid i put in wasn't accepted by Ebay. What is going on?

Hello Randall,

What happened was eBay threw up a Captcha dialog when we bid for you, due to too many failed password attempts. You did wait 12 hours but did you also cancel all your snipes? There has to be 12 hours of total inactivity from our site.

There were no active snipes when I changed my password. After the new password was accepted by Bidslammer, I put in a snipe to see if it would go through

Hello Randall,

We just backed off on the number of login attempts we did for your account, it should work better now.

I tried to put in a bid tonight and the same thing happened. Too many failed password attempts came up. It has been over 24 hours since I attempted to place a snipe. I have missed out on quite a few items that I probably would have won.

Hello Randall,

We reset all the flags on your account. I forgot to do this last time, my apologies.

We had to be more stringent on checking passwords due to changes eBay made earlier this year. In fact one of our competitors went down an entire week when others did not.

There are some items that I want to bid on tomorrow (Sunday), does that mean if a put in a snipe that it will work? Where is the message about this problem posted?
