Item queued as part of a group did not trigger. Lost the first item in the group due to low bid, but the second item in the group turned blue with a broken icon. The item ended without the bid triggering; item sold for less than what my max bid would have been.
Why did it not trigger? What is this blue status that happened after I lost the first item in the group?

Thank you for your question about Bid Groups. This snipe was recorded as "win in group," but it was not in a group.
We've never seen this before. In fact, we can't think of any circumstance where this would happen ... but yet it did.
By any chance did you change this bid from your "Watched" page, very close to the end of the auction?
