I set a maximum bid of £81.00, item sold for £43.67. I immediately tried to look at bidslammer to see why I hadn’t received notification of my winning bid to find the bidslammer,com ‘wasn’t available’.
The item was a rarely available Mamod SE1 from the 1950s with a rare burner hence my high bid to ensure that I won.

Please go to My eBay and perform the phone verification step. eBay is increasing security steps for third-party offers, and that includes sniping unfortunately. This error isn't programmed into our software yet, which is why it didn't catch it. There are over 50 situations we have to check for, but new ones popup regularly.
