Auction closes in 689 seconds (minimum = 120).

Can't update my snipe. I get:
Auction closes in 689 seconds (minimum = 120).
This has been really bugging me, as I have been loosing some auctions by a small amount of money and, given that silver has shot up in spot price, I need to update my snipes when I get a chance, which could be close to the auction expiry time.
Also, refreshing bids does not update colors (again ?) when the button redraws the table. Thanks, Craig

Hello Craig,
That's a safeguard to prevent excessive server load, but it was only supposed to affect new snipes, not existing ones. The color was a hotfix I made after your ticket but forgot to copy it into the codebase. I think that one is 3 lines.
Thanks for letting me know-

Okay. But the last time I tried this, minimum in the message had been updated to 1200 (20 minutes I guess) but I still couldn't update my snipe. I guess you were able to update the message quickly, but it will take longer to allow changes to existing snipes. Let me know here when it is fixed if possible.
On a related note, since last Sunday or so the price of silver has dropped, and I have therefore wanted to lower my snipes for some auctions. If my snipe is close to the current bid, I can't lower my snipe. Of course I can cancel the snipe, but I've now been tracking that item for a while and really curious how much it sells for. If I simply delete the snipe, I loose a convenient reference to the snipe. Now I like the ability to make a zero snipe and have the snipe in the "Watching" category, but I can't update a snipe to 0 dollars. It would be really convenient if that were possible. But then again, $0 Watching snipes are really frustrating. I can monitor those Watches when I'm online before the auction ends, but I loose track of the Watches once the auction ends. Especially if other users are sniping on that auction, I have no way of knowing what the winning (snipe) bid was on that item. It would be great if I could see the Watches after the auctions end. I don't mind if they go in the "Completed" category, or even in an "Ended Watch" category. I assume such changes shouldn't be too difficult.
While I'm writing, I like the ability to add a note to a snipe, but it would be much more convenient if I could add the note when I make the snipe, which in my case is usually via "DamnIt!" (I mean "SlamIt!"). But even further, I sometimes wouldn't need to enter a note if I could see the full title of the item. At the moment, most titles are truncated with just whitepace on my screen following the title. Often there is important information towards the end of the title, like the weight of the silver item that I am sniping on.
Thanks for the note about colors on refreshing bids.
p.s. What's this about "Snipe Wins Remaining: 12". I don't remember such a thing being part of my subscription. Can you remedy that for me somehow? Thanks.

You can lower a bid using Add Snipe, no deletion is required. It has to be a deliberate step via Add Snipe, because too often customers would accidentally lower their snipe and lose.
Consider items with 80-character all caps titles with no white space. This is why the dialogs and titles are the sizes they are. A lot goes into that and it kind of settled into how it is now. I will be sure to put your suggestions on the list for next round of changes.
Also check out Terapeak for price tracking, and you might also check out MyIbidder's new auction tracker.
