Again Snipe failed!

This is the 4th time your "sniper" software has claimed to place a bid for me and yet I was not high bidder despite having a higher bid waiting.. You have never responded to my tickets on any of them.

At this point I no longer believe your service can do what I was promised. Please reply or I will be forced to address my subscription.

Hello Robert,

We did respond to your ticket but you never went back to read the response. You need to update your corrected eBay information in your Preferences.

Password is correct, your own site confirms it. So the failures based on your status messages are still wrong. Look at my completed history. Bids listed as "Bid placed OK" with higher amounts than the item was won for? Password error is not the given reason. Please explain.

Hello Robert,

I investigated to see what we encountered when we placed your snipes. I did see we placed them as the Completed Snipes tab lists the fire times. Also we placed multiple snipes and got the same message back.

eBay is throwing back security dialogs for your snipes. I am quite certain the issue is #3 on this blog post. http://bidslammer.com/blog/

Okay. Then why does you Confirm the password when I am on your site?

eBay scores passwords. If you are bidding from your computer, they are more lenient.

If you are bidding through an outside computer, like one of ours, it can result in a random security step or “Captcha” box on login through which snipes cannot penetrate. The reason I know is because we capture the result pages after each bid.

Also if you haven't changed your eBay password in a long while, that can cause it also.

So it's not an Invald Password. But a Password they trap for a comment. I'll change password and do a test

Y'all need to find a way to deal with that in confirming password. As well as communicate that kind of error if possible. .

Hello Robert,

We do not really know any way of doing so. Snipe services can't use the eBay API so we have to make a best determination.

Ouch! Consider on the confirmation process to put a caveat that password may be correct but eBay password "quality" verifications may inhibit sniping.

Definitely a good idea. I'll make sure that goes into the revision we release this weekend.

A lot of snipe services don't even catch the errors, and they are inundated daily by questions of missed snipes.

Ignorance breeds more questions. Unfortunately sometimes a little knowledge (me) can lead to more stubbornness. Thanks for the response.
